Yvette
Gentry, M.D.
Dr. Yvette M. Gentry received a B.S. in Genetics from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.D. from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Gentry's Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty training was completed at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). She is Board-Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG).
Prior to embarking in private practice in 1995, Dr. Gentry conducted research evaluating certain perinatal infections and evaluation of chronic pelvic pain. She has been featured in the California Department of Public Health Anti-Second Hand Smoke campaign and the Healthy Families Campaigns encouraging low-income mothers to seek medical care for their families. A contributing expert to Family Digest Magazine, Dr. Gentry has been featured on a nationally syndicated health television program, as well as on local news (KTVU and KPIX) and the cable channel BET. Dr. Gentry was one of the 2 California doctors listed among America's Favorite OB/Gyns in Essence Magazine.
Dr. Gentry is a member of the Alameda-Contra Costa, California, National and Sinkler-Miller Medical Associations. In addition to her comprehensive OB/Gyn practice, she has particular interest in alternatives to hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries and fibroid management.

Vanessa Chan, M.D.
Dr. Vanessa S. Chan received a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and an M.D. from the University of California San Diego where she developed an educational program for pregnant teens. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, a teaching program affiliated with New York University.
Prior to joining East Bay Women's Health Dr. Chan developed an educational curriculum for pregnant teens and started a mentorship program for minority youth at the University of California San Diego. There she was also the coordinator of a student-run free clinic. She has been awarded the Certificate of Honor for Outstanding Service by the City and County of San Francisco for her work as a program director for the San Francisco Urban Service Project. Her interests include high risk pregnancy complications (such as pre-eclampsia) family planning, minimally invasive surgery and osteoporosis treatment and prevention.
Dr. Chan speaks Spanish and has a minimal proficiency in Cantonese.

Carla Stelling, M.D.
Dr. Carla J. Stelling received a B.S. in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and an M.D. from Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Stelling completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, a level 1 Trauma center serving the underserved. During her training Dr. Stelling managed extremely high-risk obstetrical patients and advanced gynecologic diseases. She also performed research on cervical cancer screening of adolescents.
Prior to her medical training Dr. Stelling worked with the UCSF AIDS Health Project where she provided client-centered counseling, performed research on sexually transmitted infection, and was a major contributor to the program publications. Stelling also researched the use of Acupuncture in treating pediatric chronic pain.
Dr. Stelling’s interests include Adolescent gynecology, sexual health, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for treatment of fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, and endometriosis.
Dr. Stelling speaks Medical Spanish.

Kathy Koger, N.P.
Ms. Kathy Koger received a B.A. from Rice University. She then went on to get her R.N degree with honors from Bellvue College. She completed her Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner training at San Jose State. She is also a certified Doula and Childbirth Educator. Ms. Koger has over a decade of dedication to Women's Health providing full spectrum gynecological care, full clinical assessments in infertility and obstetrical care. She also has extensive experience with aesthetic laser treatments for hair removal of all skin types, for superficial veins, for acne treatment, and skin rejuvination.
